A Night Out

Chris and I got lucky last night. We were able to go out without the kids! This is very rare for us. We really need to do it more often, but just don’t have the energy to get it together- find a babysitter, make reservations, etc. Plus, we love to be with our kids so usually drag them with us just about everywhere.

But last night we did have a wonderful dinner with Chris’ parents and also got to see the last Blazer game of the season. It was the Blazer’s 30th anniversary of their 1977 NBA Championship so it was a sentimental game. There was even a marriage proposal in the stands and the lady said “yes”. And to top it all off, today there’s a picture with us in the background (you gotta squint hard!) on the front page of the Oregonian’s Sports section!

I wondered how much my life will change in the next 30 years. I’m excited about it- watching my kids learn and grow, experiencing new things, traveling different places, and all this with Chris. I just can’t imagine it otherwise…

Needless to say there wasn’t any sewing last night, but maybe a skirt tonight!
