I was inspired by this wonderful lady to try and make a new front entry rug. I hate the one we have now and really wanted to give it a try… What I ended up with was too small and too lightweight. Chris kept trying to tell me that it wouldn’t work and that sewing is for blankets only- why don’t I listen to him?!
Anyway, I did find another spot to put my blanket/rug- under my sewing machine. Now I can easily move it around without scratching my wood floors. So in the end, not too shabby for an evening’s work:
By the way, Augie spent the day creating as well, but with clay. I’m in love with his people right now:

Don’t you love the fingers? They are so cute. (Zack draws big fingers. They tend to look like a legion of wolverines.)
